Be prepared for the AAPC ICD-10-CM exam to retain your coding certification.

ICD-10 Coding Class

Students enrolled in this class will be allowed acess to the class until October 1, 2014

Health-care clinical, administrative and financial processes and systems are about to change. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the date of October 1, 2013 for ICD-10-CM implementation. Preparing now will give you an edge when this implementation takes place.

AAPC members holding a credential will have two years to pass an open-book, online ICD-10-CM proficiency test.

  • You will be given two (2) years to take and pass, beginning October 1, 2012 (one year before implementation of ICD-10-CM) and ending September 30, 2014 (one year after implementation)
  • There will be 75 questions
  • It will be open-book, on-line and un-proctored
  • Coders will have two (2) attempts at passing for the $60.00 administration fee

Although the AAPC gives a two-year window to complete the proficiency test, preparing ahead of time allows YOU to be an integral part of your company's ICD-10-CM implementation plan.

This class now includes the eight week Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy/Physiology class.

The ICD-10-CM Class includes the following:

  • Live class is a six week course with exercises and final exam
  • On-line course consists of 27 sessions presented in a pre-recorded classroom environment with lectures, handouts, and visual aids
  • Exercises and final exam also included
  • This course is available throughout the year
  • Awards a Certificate of Completion
  • Awards 27 CEUs upon completion

Course Fees

Tuition $995.00 (includes textbooks for ICD-10-CM and the ICD-10-CM Draft Coding Book and the Medical Terminology Textbook).
